Respecting creative ownership
Copyright & Takedowns
EverScan is for music its uploader has the right to share. When that is not true, rights holders need a clear way to act.
Effective July 27, 2026
Before uploading
Every creator must confirm that they own the audio or have permission to distribute it. Buying a song, subscribing to a streaming service, or finding a file online does not normally grant redistribution rights.
Submitting a notice
Use the Report Content form and select “Copyright infringement.” Identify the song page, the protected work, where an authorized version can be found, your relationship to the rights holder, and a reliable way to contact you. State that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorized and that the information you provide is accurate.
What happens next
We review complete notices, preserve relevant records, and may restrict or remove material while a claim is evaluated. We may forward the substance of a claim to the uploader so they can understand and answer it.
Mistakes and counter-notices
If your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, submit a report marked “Appeal a moderation decision” with the page address and supporting explanation. False claims and knowingly false counterclaims are prohibited.
